Olga Baux passed away peacefully at home on April 19, 2023.
She grew up in the small town of Carnegie, Pennsylvania, in a culturally diverse neighborhood, affectionately known as “Down the Run”. Here Olga, the youngest of ten children, survived the depression and World War II, in an atmosphere filled with love, old-fashioned fun and respect for living by the golden rule. Olga, like her brothers and sisters (Mary, Anne, Evelyn, Bessie, Peter, Metro, Matthew, John, and Kay), raised her children; to treat others with kindness, to work hard, and to love God and their country.
Olga enjoyed a long happy and healthy life of 92 years. She loved traveling, gardening, and of course, lavishing time and attention on her four wonderful grandchildren; Nicholas, Lindsay, Kristen, and T.J.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 44 years, Clarence. Olga and Clancy were a remarkable pair, who provided their children, grandchildren, family, friends and community with a legacy of riches: love, support, laughter (so many jokes) and so many beautiful memories. They are survived by three loving daughters; Clarice Baux, Karen Vilett (Peter), Lisa Keough (Thomas).
Olga was a person with an amazing spirit and a zest for life that was always ready for the next adventure. She was a true friend to many and a true gift to her family.
Olga is unforgettable. She will always be loved and remembered.
