Pamela Jayne Legg Culver , 60, of White Plains, passed away on January 29 , 2026 after a brief illness. Born on September 18, 1965, in Washington DC, Pam was known for her infectious laughter and her art of storytelling.
After graduating from Bowie High School in 1983, Pam went on to graduate from Fleet Business School and held a variety of administrative positions. She worked for law offices as well as being a court reporter and a legal case transcriber. She even once transcribed for a meeting that then Governor O’Malley of Md. was a part of. Her speed of typing, precision, minimal grammatical errors as well as her perfectionistic skills came in very handy.
Her true passion was her creative expression in arts and crafts, where she spent hours creating in a variety of mediums like crocheting, knitting , sewing ,building things like shelves and cabinets (she had her own special saw), painting , clay ornaments, and she even helped to start Martha Rocks of MD on Facebook to honor the life of her mother, etc. She shared her beautiful creations with her family, neighbors and friends. She also loved her animals both big and small and was a lover of music and horror films. Her happy place was the beach.
Her kindness , vibrant spirit, openness and general interest in others touched countless lives, turning strangers into friends with her warmth and curiosity/ interest in others.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Philip and Martha Haynes Legg. She is survived by her devoted husband Mike Culver; her beloved sister Joanna Legg , many loving family membersand a wide circle of dear friends whom she considered family.
A celebration of Pam’s life will be held at Beall Funeral Home in Bowie, MD on Saturday, February 28 th, 2026 from 2-4 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her memory to either of the following:Warrior Canine Connection at warriorcanineconnection.org,Cats R Us Feline Rescue and Adoption at catsrusrescue.org.
