Patricia “Patti” Ann Aluise
January 2, 1952 - May 8, 2023
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Patricia “Patti” Ann Aluise of Gambrills, Maryland, who slipped away peacefully in the arms of her children on May 8, 2023 at the age of 71, after many years of living with Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer (MBC) diagnosed in 2014.
Retired from a long successful career at The Washington Post, Patti began a 2nd career at the IRS. She then retired from her federal job to pursue a new position as an original Ambassador for Pfizer’s new drug IBRANCE, which gave her an additional 5+1/2 productive years. In her owns words… “This Ambassador program has given me a new lease on life. It's given me new goals. I have found a new purpose. Now I have something to look forward to in my life."
She was not only an amazing advocate for MBC, but was consistently active with METAvivor and the Wellness House of Annapolis, passionately supporting and mentoring countless diagnosed women over the years, and taking calls right up until the day before going into the hospital. Pfizer shared her story here:

Besides enjoying time with family and friends, Patti had an enthusiasm for traveling, cruising, camping, card games, Broadway shows, movies, sports especially hockey, scrapbooking, cars, cats and laughter. She had a bright and energetic personality, loved well and was well-loved, touching lives wherever she went.
Patti is survived by her children, the loves of her life, son Christopher and daughter Anni, as well as sister Beverly Aluise Knight and many, many, lifelong friends, cousins and pet kitties. She was predeceased by her loving parents Ann Gerardi Aluise and Patsy Vincent Aluise.
