Patricia Leigh Moon

Patricia Leigh (Clower) Moon of Easton, MD passed away peacefully on August 24, 2023. She was 89.

Born in College Park, MD, on January 26, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Virginia Clower. She was married to Charles Moon for 65 years before his death in 2018. The Moons made their first home in College Park, then Glenn Dale, Davidsonville, and Crofton before moving to Easton in 2003.

Mrs. Moon was a homemaker and school secretary. She loved baking, sewing, and beach vacations with her family. Mrs. Moon’s greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. Moon loved to travel. When Mr. Moon was golfing, Mrs. Moon often found the nearest antique store. Mrs. Moon collected blue depression-ware and china.

Always willing to serve, Mrs. Moon volunteered at St. Mark’s Thrift Shop, Big Sisters of Easton, Davidsonville Peach Festival, and Glenn Dale Church Bazaar. She was a member of St. Mark’s Methodist Church and previous member of Hillmeade Homemakers, Davidsonville United Methodist Church, and Glenn Dale United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her three children: Jeffrey Moon (Jacqueline) of Westminster, Martin Moon (Paula) of Crofton, Lisa Foley (Scott) of Bel Air; eight grandchildren: Catherine (Mark), Christin (Daniel), Stephanie (Austin), Melanie, Michael (Angela), Kelsey, Matthew and Luke; and five great-grandchildren: Margaret, Stella, Arthur, Sophia and Leah. She is preceded in death by her brothers: Frank, Thomas, and Hugh Clower.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 31, 2023, from 4-7 pm at the Beall Funeral Home (6512 NW Crain Highway, Bowie, MD). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 1, 2023, at 10 am at the Beall Funeral Home.
