Paul Wesley Lucas, affectionately known by friends as “Moon”, passed away on January 10, 2026. He was born in Washington, DC on August 23, 1946. He was the son of Mervin and Elizabeth Lucas.
Paul retired from the USPS in Riverdale, MD after 30 years of service as a letter carrier. Prior to that he was an ambulance driver as a volunteer for the Brentwood Fire Department. He graduated from Northwestern Senior High School in Hyattsville, MD. In his youth he won the Golden Gloves as a boxer. Paul loved to dance and was a long time member of the DC Hand Dance Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister (Nellie), and 4 year old son Brian.
Paul will be missed and forever remembered. Your struggles are over, rest in peace my friend.
