Regina Cord O'Brien

Regina Cord O’Brien of Upper Marlboro, MD, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at home. She was the devoted wife of Jack O’Brien, loving mother of Timothy Casey and Stephen Cord O’Brien, caring sister of Eleanor Coene and her children Nicole and Annemarie, dear sister-in-law to Michael O’Brien and Kathleen O’Brien Wood, doting grandmother to Casey O’Brien, Alex O’Brien, and Zachary O’Brien, special friend to daughter-in-law Pam Adams, and faithful supporter to numerous extended family members.

Regina, bon in Washington, DC on July 5, 1940, went to Holy Name Grade School and graduated from St. Patrick’s Academy. She had a successful career in the tax preparation and estate planning business. She was a creative gardener and voracious reader, but she always found time to prepare amazing meals for family and friends. She was a committed Bridge player with many treasured friends.

Friends are invited to Regina’s Life Celebration at Beall Funeral Home, 6512 NW Crain Hwy (Rte. 3 South), Bowie, MD 20715 on Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2022 from 6-8pm.

Mass Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, Oct. 13, 2022 at 10:30am at Holy Family Catholic Church, 12010 Woodmore Rd, Mitchellville, MD 20721.

Internment will immediately follow in Charles Memorial Gardens, 26325 Point Lookout Rd, Leonardtown, MD 20650 (Rte. 5 South). In lieu of flowers, donations in Regina’s memory may be sent to Catholic Charities.
