Robert A. Berry, 89, of Silver Spring, MD, passed away Friday, July 1, 2022 at Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center in Rockville, MD. Beloved husband of the late Anne Berry; Father of Caryn Elder, Robin (Jamie) Strouth, Kay (Jim) Dooley and Dawn (Robb) Wear; Stepfather of the late Elise and Ian Drucker; Grandfather of Holly Lewis, Sean (Kellye) Dooley, Kelly Dooley, Bill (Katie) Elder, Bob Elder, Valerie Wear, Dan Wear and Hope Strouth; Great Grandfather of Jack (Jacques) Dooley, Conor Dooley and Max Dooley; Stepfather-in-law of Marti Drucker; Step grandfather of Amy and Jenny Glotfelty; and cherished friend of Donny Lewis. Bob Berry worked as an optician for over 50 years, starting as an apprentice in his early twenties for the family business, Teunis Opticians in Bethesda, MD. He loved golf both as a talented player and avid fan. A private graveside service will take place at Parklawn Memorial Park with a Celebration of Life at a later date.
