Robert Bruce Fullerton II, 81, of Crofton, Maryland, passed away on July 10, 2026. He lived a life defined by integrity and unwavering devotion to his family and his country. Born on November 19, 1944 in Fort Monmouth, NJ, he was a patient, kind, and generous man whose quiet strength and compassion left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Bob met the love of his life, Doris, through a church youth group in Succasunna, New Jersey. Their friendship grew into a lifelong partnership, and they were married for 58 years. They were often seen holding hands, a simple reflection of the deep love they shared throughout their marriage.

Bob enlisted in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, where he served in the Army Intelligence unit. Following his military service, he was recruited by the United States Secret Service, beginning a distinguished career dedicated to protecting and serving others. After retiring from the Secret Service, he accepted the challenge of establishing a new criminal investigative division for the Food and Drug Administration, becoming Agent 001 and laying the foundation for the program. He later continued his lifelong commitment to public service with the Office of the Inspector General for the Social Security Administration before ultimately retiring.

Bob was a devoted father and was happiest when surrounded by his family, especially his grandchildren. Whether cheering them on from the sidelines, endlessly pushing them on a swing, storytelling, or just spending time together at home, he cherished every moment with them. He loved traveling and going to the beach, especially when sharing that time with the family he adored. His quiet strength, patience, and unconditional love created memories his family will cherish forever.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Winifred Fullerton; his brother, Andrew Stephen Fullerton; and his sister, Frances Faye Fullerton.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Doris Jean Fullerton; his son, Robert Bruce Fullerton III, and his wife, Molly, along with their daughters, Riley and Paige; and his daughter, Christine Marie Saccucci, and her husband, Marc, along with their daughter, Victoria.

Bob Fullerton lived a life of honor, humility, and unconditional love. Though he will be profoundly missed, his example of kindness, generosity, and selfless service will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.

“Wherever a beautiful soul has been, there is a trail of beautiful memories.”

- Ronald Reagan, Bob’s favorite protectee.
