Roger I. Lohman

Roger Irvin Lohman, 85, of Bowie, MD, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on 13 May 2026 surrounded by family. 

He was born in Washington, DC, and graduated from Washington-Lee High School (Arlington, VA) in 1959. Roger spent time in the Army Reserves. He earned a two-year degree from Shenandoah College in 1961 and a BA in business from the University of Maryland in 1972. Roger was an original resident of Bowie, MD, since 1968. 

He spent a successful career in finance and accounting, although he was a farmer at heart. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, planting and nurturing crops from Christmas trees and apple trees to garden vegetables. 

Roger is survived by his wife Trudy (Noll) Lohman; sister Virginia Thrailkill; son Chad Irvin (and Jennifer Hynes) Lohman; daughter Jo Ann (and Mark) Amspacher; and four grandchildren, Colin and Devin Lohman and Jordan and Braden Amspacher. He was preceded in death by his parents, Asher Irvin Lohman and Erma Rose (Bush) Lohman.
