Ronald "Ron" Cook
Ronald "Ron" Cook, 76, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2026.
Born on February 11, 1950, in Washington State, Ron spent his early years in a military family before graduating from high school in Hawaii in 1968. He went on to attend Robert Morris University, where he studied Business.
From 1971 to 1973, Ron proudly served in the United States Navy Reserves, stationed at Guantanamo Bay. Following his military service, he built a successful career as an auditor, working for both Northrop Grumman and the Defense Contract Audit Agency.
Ron was devoted to his family and is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Christine Cook; his son, Ryan Cook, and daughter-in-law, Cheryl Cook; and his cherished grandchildren, Joanna (11) and Ben (7).
Outside of work, Ron enjoyed cheering on the Baltimore Ravens and Baltimore Orioles and rarely missed watching a game. He was a longtime member of the Severna Park Knights of Columbus, where he faithfully volunteered as a bingo caller for more than 25 years, becoming a familiar and friendly face to many in the community.
Ron had a passion for computers and electronics and loved buying the latest gadgets. He was also known for never missing a meal, and he could always be counted on to enjoy good food, especially when it was shared with family and friends.
Ron will be remembered for his quiet generosity, sense of humor, and steadfast love for his family. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the memories he created, and the values he passed on to those who knew and loved him.
A celebration of Ron's life will be held on Friday, July 17 at 11am at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Severna Park where he served as an usher for many years. The family appreciates the love, prayers, and support extended during this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ron's honor to Knights of Columbus Council 3413. Donations by check may be mailed to 1745 Kingsgate Drive, Crofton, MD 21114.
