Rosemarie Elizabeth Cross age 88 a long-term resident of Cinnaminson, NJ passed away peacefully on Monday, April 10, 2023 at her grandson Nathan Johnson & his wife Satya Ung’s home in Bowie, MD where she lived with her daughter Sharon and granddaughter Kelly since February, 2019.

Rosemarie was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late George Bittner and Mary (Mulvenna) Bittner. Rosemarie’s beloved husband, Lawrence S. Cross Jr. passed away on April 11, 2004. She was also predeceased in death by her brothers George and John and sisters Catherine, Marie and Caroline.


Rosemarie is survived by her daughter, Sharon Lynne Cross who was her Caregiver in her final days. Her son, Lawrence S. Cross III (Suzanne) sister and brother in-law Joyce Cross Brown and Robert F. Brown. Rosemarie had six loving grandchildren: Noel C. Johnson (Lori), Nathan C. Johnson (Satya), Lawrence S. Cross IV, Meredith C. Cross, Bryan C. Cross (Kelley), Harrison S. Cross (Michelle) and ten great grandchildren, Vanessa L. Johnson, Brendan P. Johnson, Christopher N. Johnson, Kelly K. Chan, Kevin M. Johnson, Abby Rose Johnson, Savannah E. Cross, Hayden C. Cross, Madeline K. Cross, Hunter C. Cross and three great, great grandchildren, Adrianna, Laia and Marcellus. Rosemarie was also blessed with many nieces and nephews.


Rosemarie was a loving Mother and Grandmother who loved travel, reading, music and Broadway shows. She was known for her keen sense of humor, her quick wit and her dimpled smile. Her favorite memories were of times spent at the beach with family as a young girl and throughout her adult life. She loved the beach, the ocean and especially the Jersey Shore.
Rosemarie was a very successful Insurance Agent and Financial Advisor for many years and earned multiple awards and a high level of recognition for her service in the field.


Rosemarie will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and loved ones. Following cremation, the family will have a private celebration of her life at Lakeview Memorial Cemetery in Cinnaminson, NJ where she will be laid to rest with her husband Lawrence S. Cross Jr., on April 24, 2023 which would have been their 72nd Wedding Anniversary.
