living her faith out every day and treating friends, family, and strangers with open

arms and selfless giving of her time, resources, and prayers. While Ruth Ann’s

career with the U.S. Census Bureau earned her national recognition, she believed

her family to be her life’s most important accomplishment.

Ruth Ann was a respected and dedicated statistician at the U.S. Census Bureau’s

PRED and Agriculture Division where she retired in 2019. Her leadership and

masterful execution of statistical analysis for the US Census not only helped shape

public policy but led her to being awarded a Fellowship of the American Statistical

Association in 2016, the highest honor in her field.

Prior to her time with at the US Census Bureau, Ruth Ann helped the Evangelical

Lutheran Church of America operate and expand in its early days in Chicago, IL.

Her dedication to her church and community never wavered throughout her life,
