Sara Ann Sweet, lovingly known as “Sally” to many friends and family and affectionately called “Wiess” by all who loved her passed away peacefully on June 20, 2026. Born in Fayetteville, North Carolina on June 11, 1935 to the late Rufus King DeVane and Sara Lee Paul DeVane, she was one of two children.
Sally was a highly recognized former Real Estate agent for almost 30 years and was a “Top Producer” in the Crofton office of Long and Foster for over a decade. She was also highly accomplished at the corporate level at Long and Foster.
Sally was a passionate and talented portrait and landscape artist. She enjoyed gardening and designing home remodeling projects. She also enjoyed playing tennis in her younger days.
Sally is survived by her children Tom Emsweller (Mary), Becky Kang (Yong), and Jan Stallings (Gene); her grandchildren Kathleen Kang, Wesley Kang (Jess), Will Kang (Carrie), Andy Stallings (Beth), Molly Stallings-Paige (Tony), and Maggie Stallings; her great grandchildren Josh Kang, Jake Kang, Zach Kang, Livvy Kang, Sammy Kang, Callen Stallings, Sage Stallings, and Shiloh Stallings; and extended family members.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on July 10, 2026 at 11:00 am at Lighthouse Church, 6691 Baymeadow Drive, Suite 100, Glen Burnie, MD.
