It is with great sadness that the family of Theresa Angelia Garner announces her passing after a brief illness. Theresa passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on March 12, 2021 at the age of 86. When she left this world she was met with open arms by her late husband Charles “Buck” Garner. Theresa will be lovingly remembered by her only daughter Phyllis and her son-in-law Jack Federici. Theresa will be fondly remembered by her three granddaughters Angelia (Joey) Toni (David) and Kristin (Darren “Peter”) along with her six great grandchildren AJ, Lani, Jalen, Christian, De’Lias and Gio. Theresa will forever be remembered by her large extended family and friends.

Theresa was loved by many people. She was a caring, giving and loving woman. She was the youngest of seventeen children and lived in Bowie most of her life where she helped her husband take care of their tobacco farm. Theresa loved her country music especially Charlie Pride and she loved hitting those slot machines as much as she could! She was one in a million who adored and loved her family very much. She will truly be missed by us all.

We sat by your bedside, our hearts were crushed and sore; we did our best till the end, till we could do no more. In tears we watched you sinking, we watched you fade away; and though our hearts were breaking, we knew you could not stay. You left behind some aching hearts, that loved you most sincere; we never shall and never will forget you mother dear.

Unfortunately due to covid, the family will not be holding a funeral as we would like to normally have had for our loved one. We will instead be having a zoom memorial for Theresa on April 5th.
