Theresa M. Lowe, passed away October 25, 2021 from a long battle with multiple health complications at Bridgepoint Hospital Capitol Hill in Washington D.C. she was 68.

Theresa was born in Cheverly, MD on October 21, 1953. She grew up in Riverdale, MD with her parents George and Bernadine Lukacsina and 5 siblings.

Theresa was a lover of animals, at a very young age she started bringing strays and wounded animals home unbeknownst to her parents most of the time. Her most loved animals were dogs, cats and horses.

Theresa worked in the P.G. County Public School system for 20 years, reluctantly retiring due to health issues in 2021. She often spoke fondly about her interactions with the children of her schools, her kindness and huge heart warmed many, if not all she encountered.

She was an amazing spirit who always put others above herself. She was kind, caring and one of the most selfless souls. She loved and was loved by her family.

Theresa is preceded in death by her parents George and Bernadine Lukacsina, her sister Margie Lowe and her brother George Lukacsina.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Joseph H. Lowe, Daughter Carrie Allebach, Son Matthew Lowe and spouse Sabrina Lowe and grandchildren Mason Allebach, Cooper, Julia and Liam Lowe, Sister Mary Ann Lukacsina, Brother Thomas Lukacsina and spouse Rita Lukacsina and Brother Freddy Lukacsina.

A celebration of life will be held in the near future. The details have not been confirmed at this time.
