Tracey Celeste Baber

Tracey Celeste Baber was born on December 10, 1959, to Benjamin and Frances Baber, in Detroit, Michigan. Four children were born through their marriage: Kim, Debra, Benjy (Benjamin), and Tracey. Tracey is fondly known as “Our baby sister.” She was very close to her brother Benjy. They were best friends. 
 
In 1965, Benjamin and Frances divorced.  Frances and her children moved to Washington, DC, where they began a new life.  A few years later, they moved to Maryland.
 
Tracey had graduated high school in Maryland. She always had a caring nature. She was
very helpful to Benjy, a clothes designer.  She served as a wardrobe mistress to assist the models for his shows. Tracey babysat her nieces which of great help to her sisters. She had an unquenchable passion to care for the elderly.  Tracey was certified to provide in-home health care to the elderly which was of tremendous help to their families.  When her mother Frances became ill, she was constantly there by her side.   Tracey’s skills in her profession were of great help in caring for her mother. Tracey also served in several ministries at her church. 


 Tracey was deeply affected when Benjy died on July 12, 1991, in Washington, DC.  Her father, Benjamin Schubert Baber, died on November 7
, 1991, in Wayland, Wayne County, Michigan.  He was a talented musician Had his own jazz band in the Detroit area.  Her mother, Frances Delores Robinson (who remarried in the 1960s and later divorced) was a beloved elementary school teacher.  She died of Alzheimer's complications on November 26, 2010. Tracey was married to Jamie Delgadillo and later divorced. 
 
Tracey is survived by her sisters Kim, Debra, her nieces Kristine, Denette and Kamille, great-nieces Tiara, Asia and Kayla, great-nephew Elijah, great-niece Mackenzie, Kim’s husband Michael and Debra’s husband James, and a host of relatives and friends. Tracey believed in God's only begotten Son Jesus the Christ and His promise that to be absent in the body is to be present with the Lord!
