Vincent “Vince” Philip Trasatti Sr
July 4th, 1930 — June 9th, 2025
Vincent P. Trasatti Sr., of Crofton, MD, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 9th, 2025. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. Vince was born on July 4th, 1930 in Chester, PA to Francesco and Filomena (Gambacorta) Trasatti. He was preceded in death by his wife Carmela R. Trasatti (Rappucci) who he married on September 16th, 1961; brother, Frank Trasatti; and his sisters, Mary Wilson and Yolanda DeMarco. Survivors include daughter, Rose Carmel and her husband James Heim; sons, Vince Philip Jr. and his wife Supranee, Andrew Frank and his wife Anita, Anthony James, Michael John and his wife Tami, Joseph Anthony and his wife Laura, and Gabriel Anthony and his wife Sela; and 14 grandchildren.
After serving time in the United States Air Force, Vince went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Pennsylvania Military College. After becoming a Certified Public Accountant, he went on to work for the Ford Motor Company. In 1969, Vince launched East West Lincoln Mercury, creating a successful auto dealership that served customers for over 50 years.
He was recognized by Time Magazine, receiving the 2005 Award for Business Achievement and Community Service. As a CPA, Vince would give generously of his time and talent to promote financial excellence, including his charitable time with Archbishop Spalding High School in Severn, MD and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in Crofton, MD.
Vince was also a long time Board Member of the Maryland New Car and Truck Dealers Association, including Chairman of the Board from 2001-2003. A proud first generation Italian-American, Vince remained a member of the Italian American Foundation.
His fondest memories include his July 4th crab feasts, being Santa on Christmas Eve, and playing the links, especially during his annual family vacation at Capon Springs and Farms in WV.
Family will receive friends at the family-owned Beall Funeral Home, 6512 NW Crain Hwy. (Rte. 3 South), Bowie, MD on Wednesday, June 18th, 2025 from 5pm to 7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1800 Seton Dr., Crofton, MD will be held Thursday, June 19th at 11:00am. An additional visitation will be held at Logan- Videon Funeral Home, 2001 Sproul Rd., Broomall, PA, on Friday, June 20th, 2025 from 11am to 12noon., followed by interment in Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery. If desired, contributions may be made in memory of Carmela Trasatti, Vince’s wife of 52 years to the Alzheimer's Association, 1850 York Road, Suite D, Timonium, MD 21093.
