Wayne Roy Kramer

Wayne Kramer, of Crofton, Md, passed away in his home surrounded by his loving family members on June 14, 2026, at the age of 82.

Born in Scranton, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late John A. and Ethel Kurash Kramer. Wayne graduated from Penn State University with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He moved to Maryland in 1963 and accepted a position at the National Security Agency where he worked his entire career until his retirement in 1997.

Throughout his life, Wayne found joy in many pursuits. In his younger years he enjoyed bowling. He traveled extensively, both professionally and personally. Wayne was the ultimate handyman completing various home construction projects, fixing cars, and working on landscaping. Later in life, he found pleasure in solving sudoku puzzles, watching sports, enjoying a cocktail on his back porch overlooking his beautiful landscaping, and going out to restaurants with his partner Patricia Kachura (which usually also included their beloved dog, Zipper).

Wayne is survived by his partner of 19 years Patricia Kachura, son Steve Kramer and wife Jackie, daughter Stacy Kramer O’Rourke and husband John, grandson Justin Kramer, and sister-in-law Lisa Kramer. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Wayne was predeceased by his first wife, Florence (Flo) Palko Kramer, his second wife, Jeanette Gray Kramer, and his beloved brothers John (Jack), Ronald (Ronnie), and Dale Kramer.
