William “Bill” Fairweather, 80, of Annapolis, passed away at home on November 4, 2026 surrounded by his loving family. Born and raised in Bronx, NY, he was the son of the late William and Delia (Keegan) Fairweather.
After raising his family in Ogdensburg, NJ for over 35 years, he relocated to Townsend, DE before settling in Annapolis, MD.
Bill treasured family gatherings, especially time spent with his wife, children and grandchildren. He was one of his grandchildren's biggest fans, spending countless hours cheering them on, whether on the playing field, in the stands, or at any of their many activities and events. Being present for their special moments was one of his greatest joys. Bill was happiest when surrounded by those he loved.
As a native New Yorker, he remained a lifelong New York Yankees fan and never passed up an opportunity to grab a slice of New York pizza or a buttered hard roll from a New York City street cart.
Bill proudly dedicated 19 years to Sherwood-Logan and Associates in Annapolis, MD, where he remained employed at the time of his passing. Bill previously worked on the assembly line at Ford Motor Company for 17 years and spent over two decades at Bell Environmental in Parsippany, NJ.
In his free time, he found great enjoyment in building and flying RC planes, a passion he pursued as a member of the Delaware R/C Club. One of his favorite annual traditions was attending Warbirds over Delaware, where he looked forward to reconnecting with his loyal friends.
Bill is survived by his devoted wife of 59 years, Linda; his children, Bill Fairweather Jr. and his wife Amy, Bob Fairweather and his wife Kerry, and Tara Henderson and her husband Wes; and his sister, Mary Morrisey. He also leaves behind his seven cherished grandchildren: Ally (Ethan) Haas, Olivia, Devin, Kane, Cole, Luke, and Owen, each of whom brought him tremendous pride and happiness.
Bill will be remembered for his deep love of family, his dedication, and the friendships he built throughout his life. Though his absence will be felt at every family gathering and in the everyday moments they once shared, he will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
A celebration of Bill’s life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Bill to Maryland Therapeutic Riding.
