William “Bill” “Billy” Douglas Olden passed in his home on September 27, 2026 after a courageous and hard-fought battle with ALS.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years Janet, his daughter and caregiver Lindsey and their Pomeranian Reggie, who never left his side, as well as his two sisters Susan and Nancy and two nieces Victoria and Shannon. He was preceded in death by his son, Bill, his brother Scott (Tina), and his parents Betsy and William.
Bill loved his job working on elevators for many years, and cherished so many of the friendships he made along the way. He loved working on vintage cars, playing and watching soccer, watching the Dallas Cowboys, and the beach. He will always be remembered as a man who gave everything his best effort up until his last day.
Services will remain private, per his wishes. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the ALS Association to help combat this cruel disease.
