Zephan Chidera Okere

Zephan "Zeph" Okere, age 21, passed away on July 4th, 2026. He was born on October 15th, 2004 in Washington D.C. to his mother and father. He was the youngest of three siblings.He was a college senior, studying Cybersecurity, and intended to pursue a career in Ethical Hacking. He was a star student, frequently on the Dean's List and recognized by the Maryland Delegates.Zephan enjoyed cooking (especially breakfast foods like french toast with Biscoff cookies), baking, going to the movies (especially to see the newest Disney and Marvel movies!), and video games. He loved Marvel superhero comics, and his favorite superheroes were Captain America and Spider-Man. His favorite sports team was the New York Yankees. At 6'2", he was a quiet, gentle, and fun-loving person who loved animals, telling jokes, and making his family and those around him laugh. Zephan was an intelligent and courageous young man with a keen sense for entrepreneurship who established his own businesses. Most importantly, Zephan lived a life marked by compassion, strength, and his deep devotion to God. Later in life, he intended to serve others and spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ as a pastor.Zephan touched the lives of everyone who had the honor of knowing him. His wisdom, intelligence, selflessness, warmth, and generous spirit will be remembered forever. He leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and compassion that lives on in all of us. He is survived by his mother, his father, and his two sisters.
